Aadhaar-based payment is a system in which Aadhaar number is used as a unique number to make payments directly to the students’s bank account number.
The Aadhaar-based payment plan have been followed in the NSP(National Scholarship Portal) to enable applicants to receive directly amount of scholarship into their respective bank accounts.
The integration of NSP and PFMS facilitates transactions and ensures that scholarship funds are deposited into students’ bank accounts without any delays or inaccuracies.
To receive NSP scholarship funds through Aadhaar-based payment, applicants must link their Aadhaar card to their respective bank account. This linking process can be completed through the NSP portal online or by visiting the nearest bank branch.
Once the Aadhaar card is linked to the bank account, NSP scholarship funds will be directly credited to the student’s account. This secure and efficient Aadhaar-based payment method guarantees that scholarship funds are distributed to the intended students and eliminates the risk of errors or fraudulent activities in the transaction process.
- What does Adhaar Based Payment Mean in NSP?
Simply, adhar based payment mean if you have linked your bank account with adhaar number Or multiple bank accounts are linked with your adhaar card. In that case, the scholarship amount will be automatically credited to students adhaar linked bank account, even if the student has provided non linked adhaar number.
- When will NSP credited my money in bank account ?
The NSP has started process of crediting payment to students bank accounts from the Month of March 2023. Some students have not received the payment yet. Those students should wait more 8-10 days to get their payment.
- Is Adhaar Linked Bank Account Necessary for NSP?
No, it’s not necessary but if your bank account is linked with adhaar card, then it’s a best option.
