Candidates who applied for the National Scholarship session 2022-23 have not yet received their scholarship amounts. While most students received their NSP scholarship payments in February 2023, lakhs of students are yet to receive their payments. The NSP verifies students’ scholarship applications at multiple stages. Therefore, it is crucial for each candidate who applied for NSP payment to check their NSP payment status regularly to ensure the verification of their scholarship application. If a candidate fails to verify their scholarship application, their application will be rejected from NSP scholarship, and their name will be added to the rejected list.

Now, the NSP has released the list of selected candidates for the National Scholarship. The names of the candidates mentioned in the “NSP Selection List” will receive NSP payment within 15-20 days. NSP Verifications 2023

The NSP portal provides online applications for NSP scholarships every year. Eligible candidates for NSP scholarships are required to apply online through the NSP portal. However, obtaining an NSP scholarship is not easy. Candidates are required to provide academic documents, proof of family income, academic fee receipts, photographs, photocopies of ration cards, identity proofs, self-declarations, etc. The NSP portal does not verify applications on its own.

After submitting an online application on the NSP portal, a candidate must submit a physical copy of the application along with the aforementioned documents to their respective institution. Once the institution verifies the candidate’s application, the scholarship application is sent to the district nodal officer for the next stage of verification. After verification at the district nodal officer level, the scholarship application is sent to the state nodal officer for verification. After verification at the state level, the scholarship application is sent to PFMS for payment. Any candidate whose application is rejected or marked as defective at any stage of verification will be excluded from the NSP Scholarship.

NSP Rejected List 2023

The NSP regularly verifies student applications. If any application is found to be missing or incorrect, the NSP sends it to the NSP Rejected List. However, candidates should not worry as being sent to the NSP Rejected List does not mean that they will not receive the NSP Scholarship. The NSP provides a specific reason for the rejection of an application. Candidates are asked to resolve the reason for rejection and submit the application again. If the candidate fixes the issue and submits the application on time, they will be enrolled in the NSP Selection List.

Candidates who have applied for the NSP Scholarship may be eagerly waiting for their NSP payment. However, they may not have checked if they have been selected for NSP payment or not. To check, please follow the steps given below:

Step 1: Firstly, visit the official website of the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) or click on the link given below.

Step 2: On the homepage, select whether you have applied for a fresh or renewal scholarship. Choose your login accordingly.

Step 3: Enter the required credentials and ensure that your application has been verified and sent to PFMS for payment.

Step 4: After checking on the NSP Portal, visit the official website of the Public Finance Management Service (PFMS).

Step 5: On the homepage, click on “Track NSP Payments” and enter the required credentials.

Step 6: If a payment number has been generated for you, then you have been selected for the NSP scholarship 2023. You will likely receive your NSP payment within 10-15 days.
